Peanut in her new home (below)
Good News ! Peanut has found her forever home in Alberta. What a lucky girl! Peanut's new family writes:
We adopted her in May and she is such a huge part of our family already. Peanut
and Roddie love to play together and more often than not, Peanut comes out the winner. I think our boy is a little smitten with her. He is a
very gentle dog but when we go for walks he is very protective of Peanut. He checks everyone who comes into the house very thoroughly before allowing them to say hi to her. It is so cute. We are very lucky that Peanut came into our lives.

Good News ! Spice is getting ready for her big trip to Alberta. Her new family is very anxious to meet her. Spice's new family writes:
a quick update on Spice (now named Alice),
She's settling in quite nicely. She's a very happy and affectionate dog, especially with me, and spends most of her time wagging her tail fiercely. She and Scraps (our terrier mix) are best buds and will chase each other for hours around the back yard. When they get tired of that they'll wrestle. And when they're tired of that, they'll lick each others' faces. Alice is very smart and is quickly learning her sit, down and come here-she had a few housetraining accidents the first few days, but she's been great since! She's also had a visit to the vet for her rabies and bordatella, and she LOVES her walks with Scraps. We're enrolling her in obedience classes soon, hopefully this will help to boost her confidence a little.
Thanks for all your help getting Alice to us-she's a lovely little dog and we're so happy she's part of the family!

Good News ! Sugar has found her forever home in Alberta, we are all so happy for her. Sugar's new family writes:
I just wanted to tell you how well Sugar is doing. We have
renamed her Pink because she did not seem to respond to the name Sugar. Pink and Floyd (our other Beagle) are becoming the best of friends. They play all night together. Wow how surprised we were when we picked her up from the airport. I thought that she was a cat. So small and fragile. You could see and feel all of her tiny little bones. I wondered how it could be that this little Angel was miss treated and starved the way she had been. She'll never have to experience anything as she has in the
past. She has found her home and she knows it. Pink has found her companions for life and we have found ours. How thankful we are for your organization. Although Pink is tinny (maybe a third of the size of Floyd, she has proven that she is the dominant one. It's so funny to see her put Floyd in his place. I'll have to send you a
photo of them both. If only Pink would sit still long enough. Anyhow, thank you for sending us our precious little girl. Pink and Floyd mean the world to us.
