We wanted to let you know how wonderful Allie has been her first weekend with us! She's adjusted to wearing her collar and harness for walking (mostly). She is coming when we call her name, and is having great success with her potty training routine so far! She also went on a hike with us yesterday and not only did she stay on her leash and keep a great pace. She kept her place in line on the trail, like she had done it a million times before!

Alexis (new name Scout) in her new home - below

Good News! Alexis has found a loving home in Alberta.

Alexis' new family writes:

Dear Beagle Paws:

We were pleased to bring our new puppy home on Saturday.  Scout (formerly Alexis) is a very bright puppy and is learning all sorts of new things from her new friend Sage.  Sage has been very tolerant and playful toward Scout's desire to be with her at all times.  Sage doesn't get very far without a little puppy chasing along.  As you can see from the picture, they love to play and rough house together.  She is learning to sit and play fetch with a good teacher in Sage.  Scout is very smart and learns quickly, not to mention that she has some of the most beautiful markings of any Beagle we have seen.  She already loves to run and play in the back yard though her young (and long) legs trip her up every now and then, resulting in somersaults and wipeouts.  She is clearly going to be an important addition to our household and we all love her already.

Thank you for all of your help and good work in getting Scout to us.

Good News! Sonny (top) and Cher (bottom) or as they are now called Rio and Nena have found their forever home in Alberta.

Their new family writes:

They are absolutely beyond
our expectations, it is unbelievable that anyone could abandon two such angels
into the wilderness. Their foster Mom has done a wonderful job of fostering, no accidents inside yet and they have such wonderful natures. To our surprise old Luca (my older beagle) loves them. He hasn't had a good chase around the back yard and a rope tug of war since he lost his partner to cancer last year. It seems like a good match, they appear to be inseparable, playing and tumbling together and thus giving the older dog lots of space. In a few days we will send some jpg file photos when they slow down enough to not be a blur.
Thank you again for rescuing these two and all those other beagles.

Chopper the puppy found a home

Chopper (Bentley) in his new home below

Good News! Chopper arrived safely to his new home in Alberta.  His new family are so happy with their new addition.

Chopper's new family writes:

Chopper, who has now chosen the name Bentley, has settled in very well! He was so well behaved when he arrived; he obviously knew he had to put on a bit of a show so we'd keep him around. J Turns out he has quite a cheeky streak in him, which we giggle at behind closed doors. He is SUCH a smart little hound dog! (Thank you to his foster mum for providing him with a great base for us to work with)..J He also runs to you when you say, 'Bentley, come!', or lays down on his blanket when you say 'on your blanket!' Bentley also knows 'Fetch!' and will return tennis balls, stuffed toys, and his Frisbee. Did I mention he likes to grab our flip-flops from the front and bring them to his blanket - not necessarily to chew, but just to get a bit of attention it seems like. He REALLY likes to be brushed and patted on the belly. He is a puppy with personality, spunk, genuine love, and innocence. Thank you beagle paws, thank you foster mum , thank you Jackie. He is a pleasure - not always innocent - but a pleasure nonetheless. And boy does he ever make us laugh!
