Giving TUESDAY Nov. 29

We are thrilled with the outpouring of support both to our organization and for all the support shown across the globe to the many other hardworking charities that participated in GivingTuesday.

Over $4000 was raised to help purchase land for the new Beagle Paws Adoption and Education Centre.

Our effort to purchase land will continue right through to the holidays with YOUR help.

Please consider continuing to support our drive for land this holiday season and most importantly spread the word to your friends, family and co-workers. With your help we WILL break ground on a better life for the beagle breed in Newfoundland and Labrador and across Canada.

Help bring the NL beagle indoors this holiday season. How will you GET INVOLVED?

Beagle Paws Open House NL

The beagles and volunteers invite you to join in some Christmas Cheer during our annual Christmas Open House.

Saturday December 10, 1pm – 4pm
556 Topsail Rd., Beagle Paws Shelter

The beagles also wanted us to share their Christmas Wish List with you, just in case you are talking to Santa.

1) Cash donations – it may be considered boring for some, but it’s truly our biggest need and always appreciated as a gift. Our vet bills keep climbing even over the holidays. Donations can be made in person or through our website

2) Grain-free dry food – there’s always a handful of shelter and foster dogs that need grain-free food to stay healthy.

3) Wet can food – for some of our senior dogs. Also comes in handy for sneaking meds to the beagles.

4) Glucosamine (500mg) + Chondroitin supplement – keeps our senior beagles spunky – Kirkland brand at Costco is a good buy.

5) Laundry Detergent – we now have a washer to keep the beagles bedding clean.

6) Photo copy paper (8.5″ x 11″) – The beagles want to make sure we don’t run out of paper to print their adoption contracts

7) SPONSOR a senior or special-needs beagle – in our long term foster care program

Thanks to your continuous donations throughout the year, we have a good supply of blankets, toys, collars, treats.

Building For Beagles

We are thrilled to receive a recent donation from Kelly Cribb-Mitchell and Chad Mitchell from their “Inspired by Max Photography” fundraiser held in the Grand Falls-Windsor area. The proceeds from their mini photo sessions were donated to help with the purchase of land for the new Beagle Paws Adoption and Education Centre.

“Our love for beagles started when I happened across a beagle named Max who was in need of a loving home. He opened our eyes to the plight of beagles in our province and around the world. When I bought my husband his first camera, Max became his favourite subject and Inspired by Max Photography was born. Since his passing, we have adopted 2 Beagle Paws pups and want to help their organization in any way we can.” – Kelly Cribb-Mitchell

Thank you Kelly, Chad and everyone who came out and supported this fundraiser!

Girlie’s Wish

Meet Girlie our Coonhound/Beagle Cross with a great zest for life that brightens up all our hearts!! Girlie loves people but is a loner when it comes to other dogs and animals.

Girlie would love to have the opportunity to show how she’s learning new skills (she’s a brainiac!!) and proving that you can teach an old dog new tricks. She’s a very clever and energetic girl who’s in great health and would do well in a home with someone who enjoys spending one on one time with her and being loved to bits in return. She has a natural desire to chase small furry animals and her previous experiences never gave her much opportunity to interact with other dogs so she would prefer to live in a home with no other animals.

Girlie is currently residing in a kennel where her she is being well looked after but she’s more than ready to be in someone’s home and we know that there is a special person out there for her a family who will bless her with their heart and home. Girlie is not going to give up looking as she knows that someone is out there just waiting to foster or adopt her! If you’re the person.

with her training partner from Dynamic Canines

Please contact us at email: or call 709-738-7297 (only homes in the Avalon area of Newfoundland will be considered)
