Suzie is a sweet little dog who is excellent around children and other dogs. She is extremely well crate trained and willingly spends any time needed in it without so much as a peep. She is a very expressive dog when she’s happy and will “talk” on occasion with quiet little baying noises in your direction. True to her breed, she is very food oriented and will seek it out if given the chance. She is trained to use a doggie door. If it is closed she will ask to go outside by scratching at the door. She will need to go to a home with another dog as she has spent her life in the company of other dogs. Suzie is an absolutely beautiful beagle with very loving eyes and a personality to match. Maggie has some separation anxiety so she should go to a home where she will not be left alone for long periods of time and where there is another dog to keep her company. She is sensitive to rumbling noises, and is especially fearful of the garbage truck, but with time she will hopefully overcome this. My name is Winnie and let me tell you, if I could talk like people do, I’d have some stories to tell. You see, I have lived my whole life outside in a kennel as a hunter. But the good folks at Homeward Bound City Pound took me in and then they contacted Beagle Paws to take me so that I could go live in a real home. I’ve gotta say, I’m loving this new life so far! I get to curl up on the sofa, I have another beagle and cat to keep me company at my foster home, and I get love, treats and walks! Retirement is great and I’m really happy. My foster mom says I’m such a sweet, gentle little girl and I’m loving the cuddle time. Although I’m laid back and quiet, I still have some spunk in me too! My foster mom is working on my housetraining with me but because living in a home is very new for me, I think it will take a bit for me to catch onto this…but I’ll get it, I know I will because I’m a smart girl. I’ve never asked for anything my whole life, but you know what? Now that I’m getting all this lovins, I think I would really love to have a forever home of my very own where I can be part of a family – that is my wish.
