Due to the overwhelming number of requests for Beagle Surrenders we would like to remind people of the following: Beagle Paws’ main priority is the rescue of outdoor hunting Beagles. Where possible we will try to accommodate owner surrendered house pets; however, there could be a waiting period. Please be patient and provide as much advance notice as possible when surrendering your Beagle. Each surrender case will be assessed for urgency.
THANK YOU for your understanding.
Sheila Lewis, President
Our drive to raise funds for the purchase of land continues this holiday season and it couldn’t be possible without help from the business community. Snoop would like to send a big beagle thank you to the team at Dillon Consulting for sponsoring a paver stone this week in support of the Building for Beagles campaign.
The funds from for each Building for Beagles sponsorship this holiday season will help purchase land for the new Beagle Paws Adoption and Education Centre.

We are thrilled to receive a recent donation from Kelly Cribb-Mitchell and Chad Mitchell from their “Inspired by Max Photography” fundraiser held in the Grand Falls-Windsor area. The proceeds from their mini photo sessions were donated to help with the purchase of land for the new Beagle Paws Adoption and Education Centre.
“Our love for beagles started when I happened across a beagle named Max who was in need of a loving home. He opened our eyes to the plight of beagles in our province and around the world. When I bought my husband his first camera, Max became his favourite subject and Inspired by Max Photography was born. Since his passing, we have adopted 2 Beagle Paws pups and want to help their organization in any way we can.” – Kelly Cribb-Mitchell
Thank you Kelly, Chad and everyone who came out and supported this fundraiser!

GIRLIE HAS ONE CHRISTMAS WISH. A HOME.
Meet Girlie our Coonhound/Beagle Cross with a great zest for life that brightens up all our hearts!! Girlie loves people but is a loner when it comes to other dogs and animals.
Girlie would love to have the opportunity to show how she’s learning new skills (she’s a brainiac!!) and proving that you can teach an old dog new tricks. She’s a very clever and energetic girl who’s in great health and would do well in a home with someone who enjoys spending one on one time with her and being loved to bits in return. She has a natural desire to chase small furry animals and her previous experiences never gave her much opportunity to interact with other dogs so she would prefer to live in a home with no other animals.
Girlie is currently residing in a kennel where her she is being well looked after but she’s more than ready to be in someone’s home and we know that there is a special person out there for her a family who will bless her with their heart and home. Girlie is not going to give up looking as she knows that someone is out there just waiting to foster or adopt her! If you’re the person.
Please contact us at email: email@example.com or call 709-738-7297 (only homes in the Avalon area of Newfoundland will be considered)
UPDATE ON OLIVER AND POLLY: Oliver has had his surgeries completed and is feeling like a new dog, he has settled into his foster home and is now ready for adoption – to see updated photos Click Here
Polly had her surgery on Dec. 2, she had 12 teeth extractions, surgery on her eye for a condition called “Cherry Eye” and was spayed at the same time. She is now on the road to recovery.
Polly and Oliver have recently come into the care of Beagle Paws. These very loving beagles are in need of veterinary care. Both dogs require extensive dental surgery in addition to their spay and neuter surgeries, plus Polly will need surgery to correct her Cherry Eye condition. Polly and Oliver did not have the greatest lives but now they have a chance to experience love and kindness first hand. You can HELP make that happen, make a donation today ! Estimated vet expenses are $3,000 – $4,000.
