UPDATE: Dec. 11, Murphy had a recheck exam last night and passed with flying colors, his surgery was a success and now he can look for his forever home.

UPDATE: Dec. 2nd, Murphy had his surgery is past week, besides a few minor complications that we are hoping he will overcome, he is doing very well.

UPDATE: Nov. 28th, It is a go for his surgery for Thursday. His lungs have improved enough to go ahead. Thanks to all that donated so far and we are still accepting donations to help cover the cost of having his tumors removed.

Hi, My name is Murphy and I am very new to Beagle Paws. I was found after being hit by a car but as you can see I am doing ok from that. Whew! I am told though that I have a very large tumor that needs to be removed on my bum. I can tell you that it is very uncomfortable right now but I am scheduled to have it removed on Thursday by a very nice vet. The surgery is going to be expensive so if you could help out with a donation that would be great!

“Ike” has been missing since the morning of Nov. 30th. He escpaed from his owner in the Parade St. and Merry Meeting Road area of St. John’s, NL

He is a very sweet neutered male wearing a Beagle Paws identification tag and a blue collar. If anyone has any information on “Ike” please call Beagle Paws at 709-738-7297

Dogapalooza is a family-friendly canine event happening at the West Edmonton Mall this November and Beagle Paws will be there.

WHEN: November 3, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
WHERE: West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton
o Phase IV: Dog and family activities.
o In the Ice Palace: Dog demos, a large silent auction and a trade show.
ADMISSION is by donation with the proceeds going towards fundraising causes.

The beagles and their owners had a blast at this first time event for our Nova Scotia chapter. We would like to THANK everyone who came out to participate and to everyone that helped plan this fun event.

A fundraiser in support of Beagle Paws Resuce! Bring your pooch and learn some basics and tricks with trainer, Aimee Luedey – Pet Focus Trainer, followed by a social and some refreshments. Admission is a donation to Beagle Paws Rescue.

Many of our supporters have adotped rescued beagles from conditions like this. And they can all testify to what great family pets they are.

Sadly there are still many beagles that continue to live in these conditions in Newfoundland. This photo was taken recently in the St. John’s metro area of our province. The new provincial animal control regulations have still not been passed – time may not be an issue with the governing authorities but in the lives of these innocent animals every day matters.
