So, you are ready to adopt a Beagle !

Adopting a dog is a big commitment. You can expect to have your new companion for up to 10 – 15 years and even longer in some cases.

A dog requires a lot of love, patience, understanding and consistency in your training methods. Your reward is a happy, fun loving dog that will be a joy to have as part of your family.

By adopting a dog through Beagle Paws you have the opportunity to SAVE A LIFE. Many of the dogs featured on our website would not have a second chance at life if were not for kind people like you. Once you have adopted a Beagle Paws dog you become part of the Beagle Paws family, we keep in close contact with all our adoptive families and offer support and guidance whenever needed.

About Newfoundland rescued Beagles:
Hunting with beagles in the province of Newfoundland is an age old tradition. As a result we find many different varieties of the beagle breed. The beagles featured on our website are not purebred unless stated. Many will be be smaller or larger in size than the breed standard. To read more about the beagle breed click here

Our adoption policies:
We do require that all Beagles listed on our website are to be adopted as family pets and live indoors in your home. If the Beagle you adopt is not spayed or neutered this surgery must be done within a set date (to be determined at time of adoption). Certificate of spay or neuter will be required after surgery.

ADOPTION FEES:

$ 75.00
Senior Beagles. 8+ years of age

$130.00 Beagle has been vet examined and received 1st or all needles, not spayed/neutered

$150.00 Beagle has been vet examined and is spayed or neutered, may have 1st or all needles

* All Beagles have been dewormed

**Cost of air-transportation is extra. Air-transportation costs can range from $150 to $300

*** Payment plans are available for amounts over $300

NOTE FOR Out of Province Adopters: you will be required to purchase a crate for air transportation purposes. A refund for the cost of the crate can be provided once the crate has been returned to Beagle Paws.

Your application will be reviewed and a volunteer will contact you.

Where possible we will perform a home visit and interview before an adoption is finalized. In some cases reference letters will be required and we will need to speak to your vet before an adoption is finalized.
