Students of St. Peter’s
Academy
Raise Money for Beagle Paws!

As part of an
extra-curricular literature group, students at St. Peter’s Academy,
Benoit’s Cove have recently finished reading the novel titled
Shiloh.
It describes the touching story of a young boy who risks everything to
rescue a mistreated beagle. After reading the story, the students agreed
that they wanted to undertake a project that would help mistreated
beagles here in our own province. They therefore decided to organize a
school-wide bake sale and donate the profits to Beagle Paws. An
enormous amount of support was shown throughout the school in the form
of cookie donations and in the purchasing of cookies. We even had a
dog-shaped cake on which tickets were sold! The bake sale was a
tremendous success and raised a little over $250 in support of Beagle
Paws.
The students are very
excited to have undertaken this heartfelt project and Beagle Paws
is just as excited to have received this support!
