“Odee” (April 2012)
Tribute to Odee Dixon Aug 2003 – April 2012
With heavy hearts and tears in our eyes, after only 3 short years we must say goodbye.
The doctors have done all they could, if we could find a miracle you know we would.
While sitting with you in my arms with daddy gently rubbing your ears.
While we talk to you softly, with Aunties, friends and loved ones trying to hold back their tears.
The memories you gave us, we will never forget – especially the ones of the day we all met.
With one last hug and one last kiss, you have no idea how much you will be missed.
While I look into your eyes this one last time, you tell me with those eyes – ‘it’s ok’ – you know it’s your time.
Close your eyes now and go to sleep, we will pray the lord your soul to keep.
Go in peace Odee – Graydee’s best friend, we will stay right here with you until the end.
So with a heavy heart and tears in our eyes, just for now our little boy we say goodbye.
Thank you to Dr. Finora and his staff and everyone who has touched Odee’s life during this journey.
