Our little girl “Missy” was tragically killed Friday Jan.26/07. We adopted her from Beagle Paws in January 2006, and although her time with us was short, it was truly one of the best years of our lives.
Missy, formerly known as “Mistletoe”, was such a joy of a dog. She was always smiling and so happy and full of life. She also had the most peculiar bark and it always made everyone around her laugh. We loved her dearly and are truly devastated that she had to be taken from us so soon.
Missy was struck by a car when she accidentally got out through the front door. She saw another dog on the other side of the street and was probably running to have a quick play. She loved to play, especially with her big sister, our other beagle Meeko. It will never be the same without Missy and no other dog will ever be able to replace her. We miss her so much.
We are hoping that this can serve as a reminder to all BEAGLE owners that you can never be too careful. Beagles are known scent hounds and sometimes the nose tends to get the better of them. Your front door can be very dangerous and if at all possible, it is better to prevent the chance of your beagle getting the chance to escape.
All we can hope for now is that Missy is with the angels above and she is still smiling and playing.
We love you Missy and we will never forget you…
